AN ENGLISH-

As being a Christian means being a disciple of Jesus, Maastricht International Church seeks to provide multiple opportunities for people to grow in their faith. In our Sunday worship services this comes through our choice of sermons and our junior church groups; during the week this comes in our times of praying together and studying scripture.
Sermons
We carefully choose our messages for each service at MIC, and are guided though prayer
as to what message or series of messages might best fit and challenge our congregation.
As we are a volunteer led church, many of these messages are pre-
Junior Church and Crèche
We have a very active junior church for children that is divided into two different age groups: the 'double digits' and the 'giants' group. In junior church, the children learn through a variety of activities, including crafts and drama for the younger ones and engaging life centred discussions for the older group.
We also provide a crèche for our youngest members of our community, which includes a brief story time to acquaint these children with basic Bible stories.
Bible and Book Studies
MIC hosts a weekly Bible/Book study designed to help us grow our Christian faith together. These studies focus on different aspects of our individual and communal Christian life. Previous studies have included Discipleship explored, the Gospel in Life, Mark for Everyone, as well as our own studies of Phillipians, the Psalms, and several other scripture passages.
Studies for University students
As we are located in a city with an important and vibrant student population, we are planning to begin a Biblically based series of studies for students starting in the Autumn of 2011. As one of the pressing questions for several new students is how to grow their faith in an academic setting, we are planning a short series looking at the particular challenges to and potentials for faith in this context. For more information about this, contact us at studies@michurch.nl.
Prayer and Spiritual Growth
At MIC we seek to have our ministry and efforts guided by prayer and we regularly meet to spend time praying for our world, our city and surrounding area, and our own personal needs. We actively seek to find ways to encourage one another in our prayer life and in our spiritual disciplines.
Members of our congregation are also actively involved in and connected with several other Christian groups in the area and would be happy to let you know more. Please contact us or ask at church for more information.
